Many brides have contacted the wedding planner with concerns about the etiquette surrounding their bridal registry. The most sought after answer to registry queries has concerned the number of gifts to register for in anticipation of the bridal shower and wedding. Many brides feel that they don’t want to seem too self-serving by registering for an “over abundance” of gifts.

Let me assure all of you, the more you register for, the better. For you lucky ladies out there who have had the privilege of buying the right gift for a friend’s bridal shower you know how difficult it can be to pick the perfect gift, thus in this instance the more choices you give your friends the better it is for them. In reality, you are actually doing them a favor. Finally, surprise yourself, register for something really nice (perhaps a bit more costly than the rest of the items on your list) and you might get lucky; or you may find that some friends went in on a really ostentatious gift, that they might not have otherwise thought to do, if you hadn't (i.e. fancy lingerie or a large appliance).
