Spring Design Tips From Kathy's Bridal Boutique
We just returned from our successful buyers’ trip to NYC and we are so excited to bring these innovative new designs to our area. As always, the designers never cease to amaze us with their new color and fabric choices for their spring collections.
Champagne, Rum, Baby Pink, and Sand seem to be the new hues on the runway replacing your traditional white and ivory as the favored bridal colors.
Designs this spring are definitely being influenced by the top European houses, as they are featuring a return to femininity with their strapless corset sheer bodice effects. Once again, halter tops with a deep plunging V neckline have taken front stage, but fast becoming a popular design, is the strapless top with gathered side-reaching effect.
The skirts have also been influenced by these innovative and unique designs. The popular full princess skirt remains a best seller for the fairy-tale wedding. This year the designers have added a new exciting feature calling it the “bustle effect” or “pull-up skirt” in which the full skirt is caught and gathered by flowers or bows gently lifting it off the ground.
Fabrics have also taken a dramatic turn. This year crushed tulle, feathered chiffon, organza, and silk shantung seem to dominate the runway.
All in all, this is going to be a dramatic year for the bride-to-be. With these new styles, she can truly make a statement of just who she is and what her personality is all about.
Call now to make an appointment with Kathy to be the first to see these new styles as they arrive daily from New York, and make your wedding as elegant as it can possibly be.
