Limousines
Think Comfort
The Wedding Planner’s recent conversation with several area Limousine Companies revealed a common mistake that most Brides and grooms make when selecting their Limousine/Transportation for their wedding day. For most metropolitan areas wedding traffic is not the major use for limousines, thus marketing messages are designed for business users and general transportation users.
For instance you will see that a limousine advertises that it holds 12 passengers. This is true, if you were going to a concert or sporting event, and were dressed in casual attire. Remember, during your wedding celebration, many times you are transported to multiple locations and are constantly getting in and out of the vehicle. Moreover, you are wearing gowns and fancy dresses, while the groomsmen are dressed in their finest tuxedos.
Where are we going with this? Well, I would recommend that when selecting your brand of transportation, and when figuring on the number of seats that will be occupied by the bridal party, subtract two seats. If you are transporting 16 people (including yourself), you should have an 18 passenger limousine. This will assure that you correctly estimate the number of people that can comfortably fit in your limo of choice, and will determine if ordering a second vehicle, might be more appropriate to ensure everyone’s’ enjoyment. After all, some of these stretch limousines are out of this world, and an experience unto itself.
